PENERAPAN KOMBINASI PIJAT MARMET DAN BREAST CARE MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA E-BOOK PADA IBU MENYUSUI DENGAN MENYUSUI TIDAK EFEKTIF

Latar Belakang: Menyusui tidak efektif merupakan salah satu masalah umum
yang dialami oleh ibu menyusui, yang ditandai dengan ketidakcukupan suplai
ASI serta kesulitan dalam proses menyusui. Pijat marmet dan breast care
merupakan intervensi non-farmakologis yang dapat merangsang produksi ASI.
Namun, masih banyak ibu yang belum memahami teknik ini dengan benar.
Media edukasi digital seperti e-book berpotensi menjadi sarana informasi yang
efektif dan mudah diakses.Tujuan: Mendeskripsikan penerapan kombinasi pijat
marmet dan breast care menggunakan media e-book BEST for MOMS pada ibu
menyusui dengan masalah menyusui tidak efektif. Metode: Penelitian ini
merupakan studi kasus deskriptif yang dilakukan pada dua ibu menyusui yang
mengalami masalah menyusui tidak efektif Intervensi yang dilakukan meliputi
edukasi menyusui, penerapan pijat marmet dan breast care dengan
menggunakan media e-book. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi,
dan checklist status menyusui berdasarkan SLKI, lalu disajikan secara deskriptif.
Hasil: Setelah dilakukan intervensi selama enam kali pertemuan, kedua klien
menunjukkan peningkatan status menyusui. Terdapat peningkatan frekuensi
menyusui dan BAK bayi, penurunan keluhan pada payudara, serta peningkatan
pemahaman ibu terhadap teknik menyusui dan perawatan payudara. Klien juga
mampu mengakses serta memahami informasi melalui media e-book secara
mandiri dengan bimbingan keluarga. Kesimpulan: Penerapan kombinasi pijat
marmet dan breast care melalui media e-book efektif dalam mengatasi masalah
menyusui tidak efektif. Intervensi ini dapat dijadikan alternatif edukasi yang
mendukung keberhasilan menyusui dan pemberdayaan ibu secara mandiri.

Background: Ineffective breastfeeding is a common problem among nursing
mothers, characterized by insufficient breast milk supply and difficulties during the
breastfeeding process. Marmet massage and breast care are non-pharmacological
interventions that can stimulate breast milk production. However, many mothers
still lack proper understanding of these techniques. Digital educational media such
as e-books have the potential to serve as effective and easily accessible sources of
information. Objective: To describe the application of a combination of Marmet
massage and breast care using the BEST for MOMS e-book for breastfeeding
mothers experiencing ineffective breastfeeding. Methods: This study is a
descriptive case study involving two breastfeeding mothers with ineffective
breastfeeding issues. The intervention included breastfeeding education,
application of Marmet massage and breast care techniques using an e-book as a
medium. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and breastfeeding
status checklists based on SLKI (Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards), and
were presented descriptively. Results: After six intervention sessions, both
participants showed improvement in breastfeeding status. There was an increase in
breastfeeding frequency and infant urination, a decrease in breast-related
complaints, and improved maternal understanding of breastfeeding techniques and
breast care. The mothers were also able to independently access and comprehend
information from the e-book with family support. Conclusion: The application of
Marmet massage and breast care using e-book media is effective in addressing
ineffective breastfeeding. This intervention can serve as an alternative educational
method that supports breastfeeding success and empowers mothers to manage
breastfeeding independently.
