Abstract
Latar Belakang: Sampah plastik menjadi salah satu penyumbang terbesar pencemaran lingkungan, termasuk Sekolah Dasar. Rendahnya pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan siswa terhadap pengelolaan sampah plastik mendorong perlunya edukasi sejak dini. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui peningkatan perilaku siswa dalam pengelolaan sampah plastik melalui media video san poster di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 140 Kota Palembang Tahun 2025. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Pre-Eksperimental dengan pendekatan One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test. Sampel berjumlah 33 siswa kelas IV yang diambil menggunakan teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner, dan dara dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Hasil Penelitian: Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebelum intervensi sebagian besar siswa memiliki kategori baik pengetahuan (75,8%), sikap (81,8%), dan tindakan (66,7%). Setelah diberikan edukasi menggunakan media video dan poster, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan, pengetahuan baik meningkat menjadi (84,8%), sikap baik menjadi (87,9%), dan tindakan baik menjadi (84,8%). Kesimpulan: Media video dan poster efektif meningkatkan perilaku siswa dalam pengelolaan sampah plastik di lingkungan sekolah. Saran: Sebaiknya agar sekolah secara rutin melakukan edukasi lingkungan melalui media interaktif untuk menanamkan kebiasaan positif pada siswa terkait pengelolaan sampah plastik.
Background: Plastic waste is one of the biggest contributors to environmental pollution, including elementary schools. The low knowledge, attitudes, and actions of students towards plastic waste management encourage the need for early education. Purpose: To determine the improvement of students' behavior in plastic waste management through video san poster media at State Elementary School 140 Palembang City in 2025. Methods: This study used a Pre-Experimental design with a One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test approach. The sample amounted to 33 fourth grade students who were taken using total sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed univariately and bivariately. Research Results: The results of the study show that before the intervention, most students had good knowledge (75.8%), attitudes (81.8%), and actions (66.7%). After receiving education using video and poster media, there was a significant increase, with good knowledge increasing to 84.8%, good attitude to 87.9%, and good behavior to 84.8%. Conclusion: Video and poster media are effective in improving student behavior in plastic waste management in the school environment. Suggestion: It is recommended that schools routinely conduct environmental education through interactive media to instill positive habits in students related to plastic waste management.
