Abstract

Latar Belakang : Aplikasi merupakan Kumpulan windows dan objek yang dirancang berdasarkan instruksi atau pernyataan memuat informasi untuk proses input data, pengolahan, dan pelaporan dalam bentuk program perangkat lunak. Salah satu bentuk implementasinya adalah aplikasi dental care, yaitu sebuah aplikasi berisikan video tata cara menyikat gigi sehingga dapat menurunkan skor plak. Plak terbentuk dari deposit lunak yang membentuk lapisan biofilm dan melekat erat pada permukaan gigi. Tujuan Penelitian : mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi dental care terhadap penurunan skor plak di SDN 114
Palembang. Metode Penelitian : quasi experiment (eksperimen semu). Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2025 dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 40 anak yang dipilih melalui Teknik purposive sampling. Hasil Penelitian : rata-rata skor
PHP-M sebelum penggunaan aplikasi dental care sebesar 29,65, rata-rata skor PH-PM sesudah penggunaan aplikasi dental care 20,35 dan 13,05. Sedangkan hasil rata-rata skor PHP-M sebelum penggunaan model gigi 40,95, rata-rata skor PHP-M
sesudah penggunaan model gigi 27,6 dan 17,05. Hasil Uji T test p-Value = 0,038 < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan. Kesimpulan : Penggunaan aplikasi dental care lebih efektif dibandingkan model gigi.
