FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KENYAMANAN PENGGUNAAN ALAT PELINDUNG TELINGA PADA PEKERJA DI AREA PRODUKSI PERUSAHAAN KARET PT. ‘H’ KOTA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2025

Latar Belakang: Penggunaan Alat Pelindung Telinga (APT) seperti earplug dan earmuff merupakan upaya preventif untuk melindungi pekerja dari dampak kebisingan. Namun, tingkat kenyamanan APT menjadi faktor penting yang memengaruhi kepatuhan penggunaannya..Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kenyamanan penggunaan APT pada pekerja di area produksi PT Hevea MK II Kota Palembang Tahun 2025.Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pekerja di area produksi dengan sampel sebanyak 75 orang yang dipilih menggunakan proportional random sampling. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 54,7% responden merasa nyaman menggunakan APT, sedangkan 45,3% merasa tidak nyaman. Analisis bivariat menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara jenis APT (p<0,05), karakteristik pekerja (usia dan lama kerja) (p < 0,05), kepatuhan penggunaan APT (p < 0,05) terhadap kenyamanan penggunaan APT. Sementara itu. Kesimpulan: Kesimpulannya, terdapat hubungan antara tingkat kebisingan dan gangguan pendengaran pada pekerja. Saran: Kenyamanan penggunaan APT dipengaruhi oleh jenis APT, karakteristik pekerja, kepatuhan. Disarankan kepada perusahaan untuk menyediakan variasi jenis APT yang ergonomis.

Background: The use of Hearing Protection Devices (HPDs), such as earplugs and earmuffs, is a preventive effort to protect workers from the impact of occupational noise. However, the level of comfort of HPDs is an important factor influencing compliance with their use. Objective: This study aimed to identify factors associated with the comfort of using HPDs among workers in the production area of PT Hevea MK II, Palembang, in 2025. Methods: This research applied a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of production area workers, with a total sample of 75 respondents, selected using proportional random sampling. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test to examine the relationship between independent variables and HPD comfort. Result: The results showed that 54.7% of respondents felt comfortable using HPDs, while 45.3% felt uncomfortable. Bivariate analysis indicated a significant relationship between type of HPD (p < 0.05), worker characteristics (age and length of service) (p < 0.05), and compliance with HPD use (p < 0.05) with the comfort of HPD usage. Cobclusion: Comfort in using HPDs is influenced by the type of device, worker characteristics, and compliance. It is recommended that companies provide various types of ergonomic HPDs to improve worker comfort and adherence.
