Abstract

Latar Belakang: Keamanan makanan jajanan di lingkungan sekolah sangat dipengaruhi oleh perilaku penjamah makanan dalam menerapkan prinsip hygiene dan sanitasi. Perilaku ini dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk tingkat pendidikan, pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan. Tujuan Penelitian: Diketahuinya gambaran perilaku hygiene sanitasi penjamah makanan jajanan di sekitar Sekolah Dasar Kecamatan Gandus, Kota Palembang. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel berjumlah 30 orang penjamah makanan yang dipilih melalui teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis secara deskriptif.mHasil Penelitian: Menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar penjamah makanan memiliki tingkat pendidikan dasar dan menengah 14 orang (46,7%), dan yang berpendidikan lanjut 2 orang (6,7%). Pada variabel pengetahuan, 76,7% responden memiliki pengetahuan tidak baik dan pada variabel sikap dan tindakan diperoleh hasil baik (100%) dalam pelaksanaan hygiene sanitasi. Kesimpulan: Sebagian besar penjamah memiliki tingkat pendidikan dan pengetahuan yang tidak baik, sikap dan tindakan mereka terhadap kebersihan makanan baik. Saran: Diperlukan intervensi edukatif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, namun sikap dan tindakan yang baik masih perlu di tingkatkan pada point-point tertentu.

Background: The safety of street food in school environments is greatly influenced by the behavior of food handlers in applying hygiene and sanitation principles. This behavior is influenced by various factors, including education level, knowledge, attitudes, and actions. Research Objective: To determine the hygiene and sanitation behavior of street food handlers around elementary schools in Gandus District, Palembang City. Research Method: This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 30 food handlers selected through total sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed descriptively. Research Results: The results show that most food handlers have a primary and secondary education level of 14 people (46.7%), and 2 people (6.7%) have a higher education. In the knowledge variable, 76.7% of respondents have poor knowledge, and in the attitude and action variables, the results are good (100%) in the implementation of sanitation hygiene. Conclusion: Most food handlers have poor education and knowledge levels, but their attitudes and actions towards food hygiene are good. Suggestions:Educational interventions are needed to improve knowledge, but good attitudes and actions still need to be improved on certain points.
