Abstract
Latar Belakang: Sanitasi pasar tradisional yang buruk dapat menjadi sumber penularan penyakit dan mengganggu kesehatan masyarakat. Berdasarkan data Kementerian Kesehatan, sebagian besar pasar rakyat di Indonesia belum memenuhi standar pasar sehat. Oleh karena itu, penting dilakukan evaluasi terhadap kondisi sanitasi pasar, termasuk di Pasar 10 Ulu Palembang. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas sanitasi di Pasar 10 Ulu. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif yang dilakukan secara bersamaan. Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui checklist berdasarkan Permenkes No. 17 Tahun 2020 untuk menilai indikator sanitasi pasar, sedangkan data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara mendalam dengan informan yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan persentase, sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dan validitas diuji dengan triangulasi. Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Pasar 10 Ulu belum memenuhi syarat pasar sehat dengan skor keseluruhan 45,5%. Masalah yang ditemukan antara lain bangunan dan drainase tidak tertata baik, sarana toilet dan tempat cuci tangan tidak memadai, tidak tersedia pos kesehatan, serta masih ditemukan vektor penyakit seperti lalat dan tikus. Kesimpulan: Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa kualitas sanitasi pasar belum sesuai standar. Saran: Disarankan agar pengelola pasar dan instansi terkait melakukan perbaikan fasilitas sanitasi, pengendalian vektor, serta peningkatan edukasi kebersihan bagi pelaku pasar.
Backround: Poor sanitation of traditional markets can be a source of disease transmission and interfere with public health. Based on data from the Ministry of Health, most public markets in Indonesia do not meet the standards of a healthy market. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the condition of market sanitation, including in 10 Ulu Market Palembang. Objective: This study aims to determine the quality of sanitation in Pasar 10 Ulu. Research Method: This study uses a quantitative and qualitative approach conducted simultaneously. Quantitative data was obtained through a checklist based on Permenkes No. 17 of 2020 to assess market sanitation indicators, while qualitative data was collected through field observations and in-depth interviews with informants determined using purposive sampling techniques. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively using percentages, while qualitative data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and validity was tested using triangulation. Result: The results show that Pasar 10 Ulu has not met the requirements of a healthy market with an overall score of 45,5%.. Problems found include poorly organized buildings and drainage, inadequate toilets and handwashing facilities, no health post, and disease vectors such as flies and rats. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study states that the quality of market sanitation is not up to standard. Suggestion: It is recommended that market managers and related agencies improve sanitation facilities, vector control, and increase hygiene education for market players.
