Abstract
Latar Belakang : Skabies merupakan penyakit kulit menular yang
disebabkan oleh infestasi Sarcoptes scabiei dan banyak terjadi di lingkungan
padat, kebersihan lingkungan yang kurang baik dan personal hygiene yang
buruk seperti panti asuhan.Tujuan Penelitian : Untuk mengidentifikasi
keberadaan Sarcoptes scabiei di panti asuhan Kelurahan Sukajaya Kota
Palembang Tahun 2025. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian deskriptif
observasional dengan pendekatan secara cross sectional untuk mengetahui
keberadaan penyakit skabies, sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 49 anak-anak
panti asuhan di Kelurahan Sukajaya Kota Palembang tahun 2025. Metode
pemeriksaan menggunakan metode kerokan kulit (scraping). Hasil
Penelitian : Didapatkan hasil negatif skabies sebesar (91,8%) dan positif
skabies sebesar (8,2%). Berdasarkan tingkat pengetahuan kategori tingkat
pengetahuan sangat baik, baik dan kurang baik tidak ditemukan skabies,
sedangkan dengan kategori tingkat pengetahuan buruk ditemukan positif
skabies sebesar (11,8%). Berdasarkan sanitasi lingkungan kategori sanitasi
lingkungan sangat baik dan baik tidak ditemukan skabies, kategori sanitasi
lingkungan kurang baik ditemukan positif skabies sebanyak (33,3%) dan
kategori sanitasi lingkungan buruk sebesar (42,9%). Berdasarkan personal
hygiene kategori personal hygiene baik tidak ditemukan skabies, kategori
personal hygiene kurang baik ditemukan positif skabies sebanyak (10,0%)
dan kategori personal hygiene buruk sebesar (75,0%). Kesimpulan :
disimpulkan dari hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil positif skabies sebesar
(8,2%), pada umumnya penyakit skabies lebih mudah berkembang biak pada
lingkungan dengan sanitasi yang buruk dan dapat menyebar dengan cepat jika
ditambah personal hygiene yang buruk dan kurangnya tingkat pengetahun
tentang skabies.
Background: Scabies is a contagious skin disease caused by infestation
of Sarcoptes scabiei and is common in crowded environments with poor
environmental sanitation and inadequate personal hygiene, such as
orphanages. Research Objective: To identify the presence of Sarcoptes
scabiei in the orphanage of Sukajaya Village, Palembang City in 2025.
Research Method: Descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional
approach to determine the presence of scabies disease, the sample for this
study consisted of 49 children from the orphanage in Sukajaya Village,
Palembang City in 2025. The examination method used is skin scraping.
Research Results: A negative scabies result was obtained at (91.8%) and a
positive scabies result at (8.2%). Based on the knowledge level categories of
very good, good, and poor knowledge, scabies was not found, while in the
poor knowledge category, a positive scabies result was found at (11.8%).
Based on environmental sanitation, the very good and good categories of
environmental sanitation showed no scabies, while the poor environmental
sanitation category had a positive scabies rate of (33.3%) and the very poor
environmental sanitation category had a rate of (42.9%). Based on personal
hygiene, the good personal hygiene category showed no scabies, the poor
personal hygiene category had a positive scabies rate of (10.0%), and the
very poor personal hygiene category had a rate of (75.0%). Conclusion: it is
concluded from the research results that there is a positive scabies rate of
(8.2%). In general, scabies disease thrives more easily in environments with
poor sanitation and can spread rapidly especially with poor personal hygiene
and a lack of knowledge about scabies.
