IMPLEMENTASI PERAWATAN LUKA MODERN DRESSING UNTUK MEMPERCEPAT PENYEMBUHAN LUKA PADA PASIEN DIABETES MILITUS

Latar Belakang: Diabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit metabolik yang dapat
menyebabkan komplikasi berupa luka kronis yang sulit sembuh. Luka pada
penderita diabetes rentan terhadap infeksi dan proses penyembuhannya cenderung
lambat. Modern dressing merupakan salah satu inovasi dalam perawatan luka
yang menciptakan lingkungan lembab ideal untuk mempercepat regenerasi
jaringan, mengurangi infeksi, dan meningkatkan kenyamanan pasien.Tujuan:
Mengetahui efektivitas implementasi perawatan luka dengan metode modern
dressing dalam mempercepat penyembuhan luka pada pasien diabetes
mellitus.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus deskriptif dengan
pendekatan asuhan keperawatan. Proses keperawatan meliputi pengkajian,
diagnosa, intervensi, implementasi, dan evaluasi terhadap dua pasien DM tipe 2
dengan luka kaki diabetik. Intervensi perawatan menggunakan jenis-jenis modern
dressing sesuai kondisi luka. Hasil: Hasil peneliti yang menggunakan teknik
modern dressing mengalami perubahan yang efektif. Kesimpulan: Perawatan
luka menggunakan modern dressing terbukti efektif mempercepat penyembuhan
luka diabetes mellitus. Pendekatan ini juga meningkatkan kualitas asuhan
keperawatan dan hasil klinis secara umum. Saran: Bagi keluarga, penting untuk
meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam melakukan perawatan luka
mandiri di rumah.

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that can cause complications
in the form of chronic wounds that are difficult to heal. Wounds in diabetic patients
are susceptible to infection and the healing process tends to be slow. Modern
dressing is one of the innovations in wound care that creates an ideal moist
environment to accelerate tissue regeneration, reduce infection, and improve patient
comfort. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of implementing wound care
with the modern dressing method in accelerating wound healing in patients with
diabetes mellitus. Method: This study is a descriptive case study with a nursing
care approach. The nursing process includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention,
implementation, and evaluation of two type 2 DM patients with diabetic foot
wounds. Nursing interventions use types of modern dressings according to wound
conditions. Results: The results of researchers using the modern dressing technique
experienced effective changes. Conclusion: Wound care using modern dressings
has been shown to be effective in accelerating the healing of diabetic mellitus
wounds. This approach also improves the quality of nursing care and clinical
outcomes in general. Suggestion: For families, it is important to improve
understanding and skills in carrying out independent wound care at home.
