Abstract
pemeriksaan Basil Tahan Asam (BTA) metode Ziehl Neelsen.
Masing-masing perlakuan
tersebut di replikasi sebanyak 9 kali. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini bersifat
eksperimental laboratorium dengan desain post test only.
Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease of the respiratory tract
caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Research Objective: To
determine the effectiveness of alcoholic acid concentration on the results of acid
resistant bacilli (BTA) examination of the Ziehl Neelsen method. This study used
variations in the concentration of 1% alcoholic acid, 3% alcoholic acid as control,
6% alcoholic acid, and 9% alcoholic acid. Each treatment was replicated 9 times.
Research Methods: This research is a laboratory experiment with a post test only
design. Research Results: Effective BTA staining of Ziehl Neelsen method is at 3%
alcohol acid concentration, the average BTA staining score is 4.00 with a
minimum scale of 4.00 and a maximum scale of 4.00, and a standard deviation of
0.00. From the results of the interval estimation that 95% believed the average
concentration of 3% alcoholic acid was between 4.00-4.00. Conclusion: The
concentration of 3% alcoholic acid has effectiveness on the results of Acid
Resistant Bacilli (BTA) examination, because it is in accordance with the
guidelines set by WHO.
