IMPLEMENTASI TERAPI RELAKSASI NAPAS DALAM DENGAN GANGGUAN PERNAPASAN PADA ANAK PENDERITA ASMA DI RSUD SITI FATIMAH AZ-ZAHRA TAHUN 2026

Latar Belakang: Asma merupakan penyakit inflamasi kronis pada saluran
pernapasan yang melibatkan berbagai mediator serta sel inflamasi yang saling
berinteraksi sehingga menimbulkan perubahan fisiologis maupun struktur pada
jalan napas. Asma dikatakan terkontrol apabila penderita tidak mengalami gejala.
Salah satu teknik relaksasi pernapasan yang dapat digunakan adalah teknik meniup
balon (balloon blowing). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi
terapi meniup balon dalam membantu memperbaiki pola napas pada anak penderita
asma di Rumah Sakit Siti Fatimah Palembang tahun 2026. Metode: Karya tulis
ilmiah ini menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk menggambarkan implementasi
terapi napas dalam pada anak dengan gangguan pernapasan akibat asma.
Pendekatan yang digunakan meliputi proses asuhan keperawatan, yaitu pengkajian,
penetapan diagnosis keperawatan, intervensi, implementasi, evaluasi, serta
pemberian perawatan secara menyeluruh. Hasil: Setelah dilakukan implementasi
terapi meniup balon, pada pasien 1 (An. M) diperoleh frekuensi pernapasan hari
pertama sebesar 35x/menit, kemudian menurun menjadi 28x/menit pada hari kedua.
Pada pasien 2 (An. B), RR hari pertama sebesar 38x/menit dan membaik menjadi
30 kali/menit pada hari kedua setelah terapi diberikan. Kesimpulan: Terapi meniup
balon dapat membantu meningkatkan kekuatan otot pernapasan serta mengurangi
udara yang terperangkap di dalam paru-paru sehingga pola napas anak penderita
asma menjadi lebih efektif.

Background: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory tract
involving various mediators and inflammatory cells that interact with one another,
resulting in physiological and structural changes in the airways. Asthma is
considered controlled when the patient experiences no symptoms. One of the
breathing relaxation techniques that can be used is the balloon blowing technique.
This study aimed to determine the implementation of balloon blowing therapy in
improving breathing patterns among children with asthma at Siti Fatimah
Palembang Hospital in 2026.
Methods: This scientific paper used a descriptive method to describe the
implementation of deep breathing therapy in children with respiratory disorders
caused by asthma. The approach used included the nursing care process consisting
of assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, evaluation, and
comprehensive nursing care.
Results: After the implementation of balloon blowing therapy, patient 1 (An. M)
showed a respiratory rate of 35 breaths/minute on the first day, which decreased to
28 breaths/minute on the second day. In patient 2 (An. B), the respiratory rate on
the first day was 38 breaths/minute and improved to 30 breaths/minute on the
second day after the therapy was administered.
Conclusion: Balloon blowing therapy can help improve respiratory muscle strength
and reduce trapped air in the lungs, thereby making the breathing pattern of children
with asthma more effective.
