IMPLEMENTASI KEPERAWATAN EDUKASI KESEHATAN PADA ANAK GAGAL GINJAL DENGAN MASALAH DEFISIT PENGETAHUAN DI RUANG ANAK RSUD LAHAT TAHUN 2026

Abstrak
Latar Belakang: Gagal ginjal pada anak merupakan masalah kesehatan yang dapat menimbulkan defisit pengetahuan pada pasien dan keluarga mengenai penyakit, perawatan, serta pencegahan komplikasi. Edukasi kesehatan diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan keluarga dalam merawat anak y.
Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada dua pasien anak dengan diagnosis gagal ginjal dan masalah keperawatan defisit pengetahuan di Ruang Anak RSUD Lahat Tahun 2026. Implementasi yang diberikan berupa edukasi kesehatan melalui pendekatan proses keperawatan.
Hasil: Setelah dilakukan edukasi kesehatan selama tiga hari, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan pasien dan keluarga tentang penyakit, pengobatan, diet, dan perawatan gagal ginjal. Pasien dan keluarga mampu menjelaskan kembali informasi yang diberikan sehingga masalah defisit pengetahuan mengalami perbaikan.
Kesimpulan: Edukasi kesehatan efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan pasien dan keluarga serta membantu mengatasi masalah defisit pengetahuan pada anak dengan gagal ginjal.

Abstract
Background: Renal failure in children is a health issue that can lead to a knowledge deficit among patients and their families regarding the disease, its management, and the prevention of complications. Health education is essential to improve the family's understanding and ability to care for the child.
Methods: This study employed a descriptive method with a case study approach involving two pediatric patients diagnosed with renal failure and the nursing diagnosis of knowledge deficit at the Pediatric Ward of Lahat Regional General Hospital (RSUD Lahat) in 2026. The intervention consisted of health education delivered through the nursing process approach.
Results: Following three days of health education, there was an improvement in the patients' and families' knowledge regarding the disease, treatment, dietary requirements, and care for renal failure. The patients and families were able to restate the information provided, resulting in an improvement in the knowledge deficit issue.
Conclusion: Health education is effective in enhancing the knowledge of patients and families and in helping to address the knowledge deficit in children with renal failure.
