Abstract

Latar belakang:. Hipotiroid kongenital adalah defisiensi hormon tiroid sejak lahir karena kelainan morfologi atau disfungsi kelenjar tiroid. Hipotiroid kongenital tidak menunjukkan gejala spesifik pada 95% kasus yang terjadi, sehingga sangat diperlukan dilakukan skrining. Skrining Hipotiroid Kongenital (SHK) merupakan program deteksi dini yang bertujuan mencegah keterbelakangan mental dan gangguan tumbuh kembang akibat kekurangan hormon tiroid. Kadar Neonatal Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (N -TSH) dapat dipengaruhi beberapa faktor seperti asal wilayah, jenis kelamin dan berat badan lahir. Tujuan: Mengetahui gambaran kadar n-TSH serta hubungannya dengan topografi wilayah asal, jenis kelamin, dan berat badan lahir pada pasien SHK di RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Metode: Penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional menggunakan data dari 1.146 sampel hasil pemeriksaan SHK periode Mei–Juni 2026. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik non-parametrik: Kruskal-Wallis untuk wilayah asal, Mann-Whitney untuk jenis kelamin, dan Spearman untuk berat badan lahir.Hasil: Sebagian besar kadar n-TSH berada dalam batas normal (<20 µU/mL), dengan rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 2,53 µU/mL. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan kadar n-TSH antara wilayah Bengkulu dibandingkan Sumatera Selatan dan Bangka Belitung, serta antara jenis kelamin laki-laki dan perempuan. Tidak ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara kadar n-TSH dengan berat badan lahir.Kesimpulan: Kadar n-TSH pada pasien SHK di RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang umumnya normal. Perbedaan kadar dipengaruhi oleh faktor wilayah asal dan jenis kelamin, sedangkan berat badan lahir tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan.

Background: Congenital hypothyroidism is a deficiency of thyroid hormone from birth due to morphological abnormalities or dysfunction of the thyroid gland. Congenital hypothyroidism does not show specific symptoms in 95% of cases, so screening is very necessary. Congenital Hypothyroidism Screening (CHS) is an early detection program that aims to prevent mental retardation and growth and development disorders due to thyroid hormone deficiency. Neonatal Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (N-TSH) levels can be influenced by several factors such as region of origin, gender and birth weight. Objective: To determine the description of n-TSH levels and their relationship with the topography of the region of origin, gender, and birth weight in CHF patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang. Methods: An observational study with a cross-sectional approach using data from 1,146 samples of SHK examination results for the period May–June 2026. Data analysis used non-parametric statistical tests: Kruskal-Wallis for region of origin, Mann-Whitney for gender, and Spearman for birth weight. Results: Most n-TSH levels were within normal limits (<20 µU/mL), with an overall average of 2.53 µU/mL. There were significant differences in n-TSH levels between Bengkulu compared to South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung, as well as between male and female gender. No significant relationship was found between n-TSH levels and birth weight. Conclusion: n-TSH levels in SHK patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang were generally normal. Differences in levels were influenced by factors of region of origin and gender, while birth weight did not have a significant effect.
