EFEKTIFITAS MEDIA LEMBAR BALIK TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN WANITA USIA SUBUR (WUS) MENGENAI INTRA UTERINE DEVICE (IUD) DI DESA JAYA BAKTI WILAYAH KERJA UPTD PUSKESMAS RASUAN TAHUN 2026

ABSTRACT
The use of Intra Uterine Device (IUD) as a long-term contraceptive method in Jaya Bakti Village remains very low due to the lack of knowledge among Women of Childbearing Age (WCA) and the circulation of myths. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using flipchart media on the knowledge level of WCA regarding IUD in Jaya Bakti Village, working area of UPTD Puskesmas Rasuan in 2026. This was a Pre-Experimental study with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The study was conducted from February to April 2026 with a sample of 28 WCA respondents selected using Accidental Sampling technique. Data collection was performed before (pretest) and after (posttest) the intervention using questionnaires, then analyzed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results showed that before the intervention (pretest), the median score of respondents' knowledge was 15.00 (sufficient category), with a distribution of 42.9% good, 42.9% sufficient, and 14.3% poor. After receiving health education using flipchart media (posttest), the median score significantly increased to 18.00 (good category), with a distribution of 82.1% good, 10.7% sufficient, and 7.1% poor. Bivariate analysis showed a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05), meaning H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. In conclusion, health education using flipchart media is effective in increasing WCA's knowledge regarding IUD. This visual media is recommended for routine use by healthcare workers and integrated health post (posyandu) cadres to optimize contraceptive education in the community.
