GAMBARAN JENIS LEUKOSIT PADA PENDERITA TUBERKULOSIS PARU DI KECAMATAN KEMUNING KOTA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2026

Latar Belakang: Tuberkulosis (TB) merupakan penyakit infeksi menular yang masih menjadi masalah kesehatan global dan nasional. Infeksi Mycobacterium tuberculosis dapat memengaruhi sistem imun tubuh yang tercermin melalui perubahan jenis leukosit. Pemeriksaan jenis leukosit penting dilakukan sebagai indikator respons imun dan pemantauan perjalanan penyakit pada penderita TB paru. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran jenis leukosit pada penderita tuberkulosis paru di Kecamatan Kemuning Kota Palembang Tahun 2026 berdasarkan usia, jenis kelamin, indeks massa tubuh (IMT), lama pengobatan, komorbiditas, dan penghasilan. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 42 penderita TB paru yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Pemeriksaan jenis leukosit dilakukan menggunakan Automatic Hematology Analyzer Sysmex XP-100 dengan spesimen darah vena EDTA. Data dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Hasil: Rata-rata nilai limfosit sebesar 32,5%, neutrofil 54,3%, dan Mixed Cell Count (MXD) 12,7%. Kelompok usia ≥50 tahun memiliki limfosit lebih tinggi dan neutrofil lebih rendah dibandingkan usia <50 tahun. Berdasarkan jenis kelamin, perempuan menunjukkan rata-rata neutrofil lebih tinggi dibandingkan laki-laki. Pada kelompok IMT underweight ditemukan rata-rata neutrofil dan MXD lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok lainnya. Berdasarkan lama pengobatan, fase lanjutan menunjukkan rata-rata limfosit lebih tinggi dan neutrofil lebih rendah dibandingkan fase intensif. Perbedaan nilai leukosit pada kelompok komorbiditas dan penghasilan relatif kecil. Kesimpulan: Gambaran jenis leukosit pada penderita tuberkulosis paru di Kecamatan Kemuning Kota Palembang Tahun 2026 menunjukkan nilai limfosit, neutrofil, dan MXD yang umumnya masih berada dalam rentang normal pada berbagai karakteristik responden.

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious infectious disease that remains a global and national health problem. Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection can affect the body's immune system as reflected by changes in leukocyte types. Leukocyte type examination is important as an indicator of immune response and monitoring of disease progression in pulmonary TB patients. Objective: This study aims to determine the description of leukocyte types in pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Kemuning District, Palembang City in 2026 based on age, gender, body mass index (BMI), duration of treatment, comorbidities, and income. Method: This study used a descriptive observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 42 pulmonary TB patients selected using a total sampling technique. Leukocyte type examination was carried out using an Automatic Hematology Analyzer Sysmex XP-100 with EDTA venous blood specimens. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately. Results: The average lymphocyte value was 32.5%, neutrophils 54.3%, and Mixed Cell Count (MXD) 12.7%. The age group ≥50 years had higher lymphocytes and lower neutrophils than those aged <50 years. Based on gender, women showed higher average neutrophils than men. In the underweight BMI group, average neutrophils and MXD were found to be higher than other groups. Based on treatment duration, the continuation phase showed higher average lymphocytes and lower neutrophils than the intensive phase. Differences in leukocyte values between comorbidity and income groups were relatively small. Conclusion: The description of leukocyte types in pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Kemuning District, Palembang City in 2026 showed lymphocyte, neutrophil, and MXD values that were generally still within the normal range for various respondent characteristics.
