ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA PASIEN Nn. S (22 Thn)DENGAN KASUS GIGI 36 KMD YANG DISERTAI KALKULUS DI KLINIK POLTEKKES KEMENKES PALEMBANG

Latar belakang : Masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut masih menjadi permasalahan yang sering dijumpai pada masyarakat, salah satunya adalah karies gigi yang dapat diperparah oleh adanya kalkulus. Kurangnya kesadaran dalam menjaga kebersihan gigi dan mulut serta kebiasaan menyikat gigi yang tidak tepat menjadi faktor yang memengaruhi tingginya kejadian karies. Tujuan : Melakukan asuhan keperawatan gigi dan mulut dengan tujuan meningkatkan derajat kesehatan gigi dan mulut pasien. Metode : Penelitian laporan kasus Gigi 36 KMD yang disertai dengan Kalkulus dengan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan gigi dan mulut, yang meliputi tahapan pengkajian, diagnosis, perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi pada pasien Nn. S (22 tahun) di Klinik Poltekkes Kemenkes Palembang. Hasil : Gigi 36 yang mengalami KMD telah ditambal dengan baik sesuai anatomi gigi, tambalan rapih dan tidak mengganjal, halus dan mengkilap. Kalkulus hilang ditandai dengan OHI-s dengan kategori baik dan permukaan gigi halus. free plaque score dalam kategori baik. Pasien juga mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran dalam menjaga kebersihan gigi dan mulut setelah dilakukan tanya jawab, serta mampu mempraktikkan teknik menyikat gigi yang benar secara mandiri. Kesimpulan : Kasus KMD gigi 36 yang disertai kalkulus dengan perawatan askepgilut menunjukkan keberhasilan perawatan yang baik dengan terapi penambalan gigi, scaling, dan edukasi keterampilan dan pengetahuan pasien. Pasien sembuh total dan merasa puas.

Background: Oral health problems remain common issues in the community, one of which is dental caries that can be aggravated by the presence of calculus. Lack of awareness in maintaining oral hygiene and improper toothbrushing habits are factors contributing to the high prevalence of dental caries. Objective: To provide dental and oral nursing care aimed at improving the patient's oral health status. Methods: This study used a case study approach through dental and oral nursing care, This case report involved a patient with dentinal caries (DC) in tooth 36 accompanied by calculus, using a dental and oral nursing care approach that included assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The patient was Ms. S (22 years old) who received treatment at the Dental Clinic of the Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health, Palembang. Results: Tooth 36 affected by dentinal caries was successfully restored according to its anatomical form. The restoration was well-adapted, smooth, polished, and did not interfere with occlusion. The calculus was successfully removed, as indicated by a good Oral Hygiene Index-Simplified (OHI-S) score and smooth tooth surfaces. The free plaque score was also in the good category. Furthermore, the patient demonstrated improved knowledge and awareness regarding oral hygiene following educational sessions and was able to independently perform proper toothbrushing techniques. Conclusion: The case of dental caries in tooth 36 accompanied by calculus demonstrated successful outcomes following oral and dental nursing care interventions. The treatment included dental restoration (filling), scaling, and educational programs aimed at improving the patient's knowledge and tooth-brushing skills. Evaluation results showed complete resolution of the patient's complaints, improvement in oral hygiene status, and increased understanding and skills in maintaining oral health. The patient achieved full recovery and expressed satisfaction with the treatment provided.
